Making an effort to draw and paint seems to take more than just words. What does it take for me? Those muses are nearby laughing but I must say, it takes good equipment, knowledge, ideas (pffftttt muses!) and taking a first step... again.

So, fortune has smiled on me in the form of a fine computer, bought used on Craig'sList from a poor student who needed a laptop. He built this one and he will build another now, more portable. Fortune has also smiled on me in that I have a fine graphics art program, in fact more than one if you count Photoshop. I even have a much better idea how to use it all and a new, fine wacom tablet. I have no excuses now! So away we go.

Having relatives with lots of pets and flattering words to tell me how much they appreciate a drawing or watercolor of their pet is encouraging. In fact it is nigh on making me feel guilty. I can say several things though, doing these has given me more creative energy and that's what I need.

I have started writing again also. It's slow and ponderous. Roleplay mostly. We shall see if I can stick with it.
